| We loved our waterdog, and so did our dogs - it didn't take long at all for them to figure out how to trigger the unit to dispense water, and it was nice cold water straight from the faucet. Our only mistake was leaving it on the faucet in the winter. It got too cold, cracked one of the pieces and started leaking. However their customer service was great, and they sent us a replacement part at no charge. |
Gotta love it !

I purchased one of these last year for my german sherpard and I absolutely love it! I have it connected on my front porch.
My dog was trained easily to use it and knows exactly where to go when thirsty.
The only thing I do is every day I wave my hand in front of it to activate it to run the water from sitting in the line all night. So I get fresh cold water every time for my buddy. |
GREAT!! LOVE IT!! Great for chewers & pups that dump their water bowls. . .

| I was a bit leery buying this at first. I have 3 large dogs. Two of them are puppies!! Let me explain . . .I have a 1 yr old Rott and a 8 month old German Shepherd and a 12 yr old boy. The G.S. 8mth 60 lb puppy loves to dump and chew up all water bowls. I even tried going to a horse feed store and buying a heavy, weighted down 12 in diameter 5 in tall ceramic bowl. Thinking I had won since he couldn't dump this one . . He pawed all the water out. This was all at the beginning of summer and I was worried about them (especially my old boy) being w/o water while I was at work. So, I bought this automatic water fountain. IT IS GREAT!!!! I was sure Mr. 8 month old would chew on it . . .he hasn't!! I love that they don't have to lick it to make it work as my old boy would not have done that. It senses as they walk up to it and turns on. I put my large weighted down bowl under it to catch the water. ALL my dogs like it and use it. The G.S. pup likes "turning it on". The pups drink straight from it while my old one drinks from the bowl. The G.S. pup does play in the water and paw at the bowl. But, there is always new, fresh water available!! No one has chewed or messed with it. I have had it about 6 months and it has had NO problems and I LOVE IT!! If it broke I would go out the same day and buy a new one. :-) |

I like the water dog, but I know not to use it as the only source of my dogs water. Out of the blue , twice it has not worked. My dog is pushing into it and forcing it face down when it is not working, so then if it starts working, the water is in a odd position, I have only had it happen twice, but that is twice in a 3 week period, but for the most part it is great, it did not cure me having to provide a fresh bowl of water each day.
It only took 1 use for my dog to learn how to use it, so that was nice.
