Dog Harnesses Archives

lorilou asked:

We went to the movies last night and a little dog ran in. It had a collar and a tag with a phone number. It was a friendly little beagle. Several of us customers and a worker was trying to get the phone number (the doggie was wiggling because he was sweet and excited so it was hard to read the tag). The manager came up and said the dog had to go. The worker explained that it had a tag and she was going to call the owner. He started to freak out and said, "It has to go. It can't stay in here."

Anyway, I asked him if he didn't have an office or utility closet or somewhere he could keep the dog for a few minutes while he called the owner. I told him that if he put the dog outside it would probably get hit by a car. We were in a very busy area.

He said, "Ma'am, by law I can't have a dog in here."

I find it hard to believe that there is any such law. What about guide dogs? I'm writing a letter to the co. so would like to know this beforehand. Search didn't give answer.

I hit a dog with my car today. I slammed on my breaks and tried to avoid it while it ran out in front of me. I don't think the dog lives at this house as I have never seen it in the neighborhood before. There was a little girl playing in the yard with it. After I ran over the dog -- I stopped the car, got out, the dog miraculously had gotten up hobbled off to the side of the road and laid down. The little girl ran in the house to get someone. A man came out and went to the dog looking at him and picking him up. I was amazed that the dog did not squeal or start biting. I asked the guy if he wanted help carrying him. I asked the guy if he wanted me to call a vet. The man muttered that he didn't have any money to even take the dog to a vet. Conveniently... I thought. I noticed he didn't have any money to buy a collar for the dog either.

What should I have done? I couldn't avoid the dog. I'm afraid this guy with "no money" is going to sue me or something. What should I do?
When the man picked up the dog he immediately said the dog's leg was broken. How did he know that. He wasn't a vet.

Halloween dog collar?

Jess_ut asked:

For Halloween I want to make something fun for my dogs collar. But I do not want to dress them up. I am not super crafty and I cannot sew. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do? The kids in neighborhood alway knock at the door to see them, I thought it would be festive!! they are 2 pitbulls (hehehe)
