Fancy Dog Collars

Throw it in the bin, learn to train your dog properly, the humane way that people have been using for years.
Second thoughts, try it on your Mum, see if she still thinks they are a good idea!!

There are better ways to disipline your dog other than shocking it. Iassume your Mom bought it because the dog barks alot. You need to distract the dog from what's making it bark. Try shaking a soda can with a few pennies in it the next time it starts barking, or ****** it with a water bottle. Then comes the distraction, give the dog a ball that holds treats inside of it. Kong is a good brand. I hope this helped.

Small Dog Harness

wow... i applaud you for standing up for your dog in saying it won't be on the poor pup till you can 'tolerate' it.

Assuming the collar is for barking, have you tried a quick spray in the face with a water bottle to stop unwanted barking? I would try every method possible before using any pain based method on my dog.
I have a barker... he is obnoxious.

The only way that works for him is ignore the barking and praise the silence. When dogs bark, people pay attention. We yell at them, go to them to quiet them or even pacify them. When they are quiet, they are ignored.
Add the fact that a dog likes attention, and you have a reason to bark!
When your dog is quiet, go to your dog and pay attention to it. Lots of attention. If your dog is barking, give a quick ****** of water and walk away with no words or eye contact. As soon as the barking stops, rush in with a treat and praise and play and enjoy the pup. The important thing is timing. Spray in mid bark. Come in only in quiet. If there is a bark as you are coming in, turn immediately in the bark and walk away again.

Hope this helps and you don't need to put that nasty collar on your dog.
